Lady Burra
American pale ale &
Irish red ale
By : Beer Adelaide
May 2015
After much anticipation, Lady Burra have released their first two beers, an American Pale Ale and an Irish Red Ale.

After some games and mystery from the Lady Burra Facebook account, it was announced the beers would be released at the Holland Street Markets after mid-day on the 30th of May. As soon as I read the beers were available I ventured into the Markets and sampled the two new beers

Style - American IPA
Strength - 4.5%
Size - 330mL Bottles
Colour - Rich golden colour.
Aroma - Grapefruit and hints of pine needles.
Malt - Light maltiness.
Hops - Lots of citrus with primarily grapefruit showing through, also hints of pine resin.
Overall Taste - Light malt tones with lots of citrus.
Overall - A great tasting AIPA, with loads of citrus. Not overpowering and could be a good session ale.

Style - Irish Red Ale
Strength - 4.9%
Size - 330mL Bottles
Colour - Deep red copper in colour.
Aroma - Sweet toffee and caramel on the nose.
Malt - Sweet malt flavours, toffee and malt biscuits.
Hops - Mild bitterness, with pine & spice.
Overall Taste - Sweet malts and mild bitterness, with a dry finish.
Overall - A typical Irish red ale, with nice toffee and caramel flavours. If you enjoy Clare Valleys Monkeys Uncle you will also enjoy this brew.

A Great start to the new brewery, and I will be waiting with anticipation at the release of their next two beers, a Pilsener and a Dark Ale.
