Seeing Double
By : Beer Adelaide
June 2015
Next in my AIBA award winning beer reviews is Brewboys Seeing Double. Winning a Silver Medal in category 17A Scotch Ale & Barley Wine.

Seeing double has long been my favorite beer, with its great sweetness and smoky finish, and its nice to see that i am not the only person who thinks so. Seeing Double would have to be one of SA's most awarded beers, winning numerous AIBA medals and also winning the Champion Ale at the 2013 Royal Adelaide Beer Awards

Style - Wee Heavy/Scotch Ale
Strength - 8%
Size - 330mL Bottles
Colour - Deep red almost black.
Aroma - Fantastically sweet with dried fruit, peat, roasted coffee.
Malt - A huge hit of candied sugar, toffee, dried fruit and berries with ample peated smoke.
Hops - Lightly hopped with hints of spice.
Overall Taste - A complex taste, with primarily sweet toffee, fruits and spice with a great smoky aftertaste to knock the sweetness down a bit.
Overall - My favourite beer that is always a pleasure to drink, especially on a cold winters night. If you enjoy sweet porters or smoked beers you will love seeing double.
