Following on from the review of Lobethal Bierhaus & Belair Cellars Summer of Saison, I have reviewed the collaborations first beer The Red Menace.

The Red Menance an Irish Red Ale that has been released in two adaptations. A Traditional Irish Red and a Hoppy Irish Red, This review is of the traditional Irish Red.





Style - Irish Red Ale
Strength - 5%
Size - 330mL Bottles
Colour - Deep red in colour.
Aroma - Sweet aroma with nice hop tones.
Malt - Great toffee sweetness that mellows on the back of the pallet.
Hops - Nicely balanced hop bitterness with spice and herbal notes.
Overall Taste - Great malt flavour and nicely balanced hoppiness.
Overall - A fantastic beer, one of our states best examples of an Irish Red Ale.
