the Hills Cider company
Apple cider, Hop edition
By : Beer Adelaide
Dec 2015
The Hills Cider Company is a Cider maker established in 2010 that has become one of the largest cider makers in Australia. Along with the two flagship ciders (Apple and Pear) the company also makes an Apple and Ginger cider as well as the new Apple and Hops.

The cider is a blend of Adelaide Hills apples with a great sharp taste with Cascade, Centennial, Summer, Citra and Galaxy Hops. And while not a beer, for me anything with hops, is pretty close to a beer for my liking.

Style - Cider
Strength - 8%
Size - Draught & 330mL Bottles
Colour - Cloudy and very pale.
Aroma - Lots of yeasty esters with the sweetness of apples.
Malt - No malt has been added to this brew.
Hops - A nice hop flavour at the back of the pallet.
Overall Taste - A great sour tartness to the cider with a nice bitter finish.
Overall - A very odd marriage of beer and cider, the great crispness of a good cider, with the bitter finish of a beer.
