The Luff Brothers Alfred Henry & Herbert started a Wholesale Wine, Spirit and Liqueur merchant business in Victoria
in the 1870's. The brothers moved their business to Currie street, Adelaide around 1904 where they continued as
alcohol merchants, importing wines, spirits, liqueurs and ales from interstate and overseas. The business became very
popular and they opened an office in Broken Hill. The company closed after Alfred's death in 1922. Luff Bros. carried Dagger Brand Guinness stout bottled by O'Brien, Walkers English Lager & Ale, as well as bottling, Carlton United Brewing Co Ale and Scott & Griffith's Tasmanian ales |
