William Bennet Edmonds constructed a brewery in Noarlunga across the road from the Horseshoe Hotel. The brewery was situated near the Onkaparinga River a steady water supply. Edmonds had financial problems in 1856 and the brewery was sold to Edward Dutton and Henry Aldersey. The pair operated the brewery for ten years before Edward moved to Goolwa and opened the River Murray Brewery. The Noarlunga Brewery was put up for sale but the brewery was closed and didn't open again. |
