Charles Medlin had been operating the Port Augusta Aerated Water Factory in the 1880's, where Mr Medlin had bottled W K Simms West End Pale Ale. By the early 1890's Charles had moved to Quorn and started to build his own brewery at the premises previously occupied by Mr J Williams. Some early problems with faulty manufactured equipment set back the opening to early 1895 and by the end of the year the brewery was put up for sale. |
