The Wallaroo brewery was built by Alfred France in 1862 with William Searle as brewer, the pair continued the brewery
until 1867 when the brewery was let out to George and Charles Clark. The Clarks were declared insolvent in May
1867, the brewery was then sold to Mr James Thomson Jr. James was the son of James Thomson Snr from the Walkerville
brewery. Mr Thomson continued to brew in Wallaroo until 1871 when the brewery was sold to William and Robert
