The Beard and Brau brewery opened in 2008, in a backyard in Para Hills West, North of Adelaide. The brewery started with 2 beers Golden Paw and Red Tail available in bottles. The brewery slowly grew with several new beers released and the Earl of Leicester hotel becoming the main hotel the brewery supplied beer from. The brewery quickly became too small and a new site was found in Mount Tambourine Queensland, and the brewery moved all operation up to the sunshine state. The brewery continued to sell beer into the South Australian Market, with draught beer still available at the Earl of Leicester. But by the mid 2010's the breweries interest in SA waned and you couldn't find Beard & Brau beer anywhere in SA. The Brewery closed in 2019, main blaming the big corporate breweries moving into the craft beer space. |
