| John A Cain started Progressive Manufacturing Co in the early 1920s, John had previously worked for Sharpe Brothers in Adelaide. The brewing building was destroyed by fire in 1925, with the origin of the fire was never found. The business did not recover and Mr Cain started a Wool purchasing company. |
