Dalton and Francis were partners in a ginger beer manufacturing venture housed within the premises of the Old Fountain Inn, located on Town Acre 348, situated on the east side of Robert Street near Wakefield Street in Adelaide. This establishment operated solely as a hotel from 1847 to 1850, after which it was transformed into a ginger beer manufacturing facility by Francis and Dalton. Their partnership continued until 1854. Following the dissolution of their partnership, Dalton briefly operated the business independently. However, his individual venture ceased operations, and Dalton's presence in business directories is absent after 1855. |
