Francis Barker of Walker and Co. operated the 'Magnet Works' at the corner of Edith and Finniss Streets, North Adelaide. Born in Middlesex, England, in 1845, Barker began the business in 1887 but died later that year on December 7th. Due to his early death, his embossed bottles made by Bishop Brompton are rare. Barker was buried in West Terrace Cemetery, and the business assets were sold to J.O. Ladd. | ![]()
