Mr. Joseph Edmund constructed the Vintage Shades Inn in 1859. As part of the Inn he also constructed a brewery
on site. Mr. Edmund sold the brewery in 1862 to Mr. John Townsend, and it is known if Mr Townsend continued
brewing. The Hotel was closed by a Temperance Movement local opinion poll in 1909 c1910 State Library [B 6] |
