Charles Medlin had been operating the Port Augusta Aerated Water Factory in the 1880's, where Mr Medlin had
bottled W K Simms West End Pale Ale. By the early 1890's Charles had moved to Quorn and started to build his
own brewery at the premises previously occupied by Mr J Williams. Some early problems with faulty manufactured
equipment set back the opening to early 1895 and by the end of the year the brewery was put up for sale. Quorn Mercury, 8th November 1895 |
