Tasmanian Hotel Brewery

A Brewery was constructed at the Tasmanian hotel in 1839 with John Wheland as the licensee. John Continued to brew at the brewery until 1846 when he sold the brewery to William Williams. Williams renamed the hotel to the Prince Albert Hotel, but unfortunately the brewery closed in 1847. Williams then went on to create the Walkerville Brewery. The Hotel later changed name to the Adelaide Hotel and was closed in 1921.
