The Inn was constructed in 1863 for Mrs Francis Clark. The hotel was purchased in 1883 by Henry Edmeades at the Anchor Brewery and the building was expanded with a second story added. In 1909 the hotel was one of the hotels closed by the wave of Teetotal protests at the time. The hotel building in 2024 |
