| The original Woolshed Inn began as a timber-framed store built in 1856, likely the second building in Bordertown after the police station. It was licensed as an inn in 1859 and took its name from Scott’s woolshed, located about 100 metres north. The current stone building at the corner of Woolshed and Crocker Streets was erected in 1882, anticipating more trade with the arrival of the Naracoorte railway. The hotel was expanded throughout the 20th century, renamed the Tatiara Hotel in 1927, and later reverted to the Woolshed Inn in 1969. ![]() |
