| Beachport Brewing was a small craft brewery established in 2022 in the coastal town of Beachport in South Australia’s south-east. The brewery formed part of the broader growth of regional craft brewing across the state during the 2010s, bringing locally brewed beer production to one of South Australia’s best-known seaside tourist destinations. Beachport itself has a long maritime history dating back to the nineteenth century. Established as a port servicing the surrounding pastoral and fishing districts, the town became known for its jetty, fishing industry and coastal scenery. Hotels and licensed premises had operated in the township since its earliest years, but Beachport Brewing represented one of the first modern attempts to establish dedicated beer production within the town itself. The brewery focused on producing small-batch craft beers inspired by the relaxed coastal lifestyle of the Limestone Coast region. Operating on a boutique scale, the brewery supplied beer through local venues, tourism outlets and direct sales to visitors travelling through the area. Like many regional craft breweries, Beachport Brewing relied heavily on tourism, local support and seasonal trade generated by holidaymakers visiting the coast. The brewery closed in November 2024, perhaps due the lack of tourism in the South East after the Pandemic. ![]() ![]() |
