Jerningham Street Brewery

Jerningham Street is a small street located in North Adelaide, which is a strange name for a brewery setup in Regency Park, but the breweries origins started at the Old Lion Hotel located on Jerningham Street. After the Old Lion Hotel Brewery closed the brewing equipment was sold off and was purchased by the Bickfords Group, and moved to its new site in Regency Park.

The first beer to be brewed at the new site was Red Ant Lager, followed a year later with Gold Ant Pilsener. The beer was exported to the United Kingdom in the 1990's but it never took off in South Australia. The brewery closed in 2000.
