Edward Roy Fielding owned The Cordial and Ice Co. The Fielding family had been running the Community Hotel at 80 Railway Terrace North since 1912. E.R. Fielding served as the licensee from 1922 to 1946. Additionally, he managed the Lameroo Ice & Cordial Co., which operated from a shed behind the hotel.
