Ludwig Wilhelm Warnecke, a chemist in Nuriootpa, began producing aerated waters in 1884 at Angas Park before relocating to Main Street. His son, Carl Wilhelm Ludwig Warnecke, born on April 29, 1862, in Nuriootpa, joined him in the business. By 1909, the business was listed as 'L. Warnecke & Co.,' and from 1913 to 1919, it operated under 'L. & C. Warnecke.' Carl Wilhelm Ludwig Warnecke passed away on April 4, 1927. Additionally, Carl's brother, F. Warnecke of Saddleworth, was also involved in the business at one point.
