| Joseph Clare was the aerated water and cordial manufacturer used by several companies. In the early 1880s he worked at the Anchor Brewery on Morphett Street, then in 1883 he was employed at the Adelaide Aerated Water and Brewing Co. and then finally at the Macclesfield brewery in Kent Town. |
